Borrowed liberally from Mr. Hughes and Mr. Kettner purveyors of fine amplifiers.

As announced a few days earlier here on hughesandkettner.com, our friend Mr. Fastfinger is busily working on his debut album which will be out early 2009. We jumped at the once-in-a-lifetime chance to join our ingenious founders and inventors Mr. Hughes and Mr. Kettner with Mr. Fastfinger for a short interview. And, lucky as we were, we could even persuade Mr. Fastfinger's alter ego Mika Tyyskä to share his thoughts with us. Here is the transcript:

Mr. Hughes: What will be the title of your forthcoming CD?

Mr. Fastfinger: It will be called “The Way Of The Exploding Guitar”. It tells the story of the adventurous life of a samurai guitarist.

Mr. Hughes: Well, that title somehow sounds an ancient 8 bit bell. What is behind this album, why are you doing this?

Mr. Fastfinger: I have been practicing guitar playing for many years. Now it was due time to create some music!

Mika: We want to bring action and excitement to the instrumental guitar scene. Guitar playing is the mission, but it's more important to create music that inspires the audience.

Mr. Fastfinger: And don't forget: attitude is very important, too!

Mr. Kettner: So what will the music sound like?

Mr. Fastfinger: Very powerful. Good spirited music with great energy, joy, big feelings and emotions.

Mika: True, each song has a different story and is painted in a different color. We are producing a serious instrumental rock guitar album.

Mr. Fastfinger: Serious!?

Mika: Yes (laughs). But we didn't forget that humor belongs to music as well.

Mr. Kettner: How are the recording sessions progressing?

Mr. Fastfinger: Very well! But it takes some time to do this.

Mika: Because this is not a normal studio recording. We decided to capture all the guitars on various locations around Tilulitu Land, Mr.Fastfinger's paradisiac island. For us this is the only way to get the right tone and feel to all the tracks.

Mr. Fastfinger: Whoohoo, we just came from a bamboo forest! Serious ninjutsu together with several extra special ninja quests. We will reveal the names later.

Mr. Hughes: Thanks very much, both of you. Any famous last words?

Mika: Yes, why not. Come and visit Mr. Fastfinger's blog at www.mrfastfinger.net where he shares his visions about guitar playing. I can only warmly recommend it to all guitarists.

Mr. Fastfinger: Bye, bye. And never forget: once there was a tree!
