Chris Pallas: win a guitar!

Hello everyone!

This is my entry for Lee Peterson's "Win a Guitar" competition! Many many thanks to Lee for motivating us play over this great backing track!

For this video I borrowed a friend's Ibanez S1625, into a demo version of Metal Amp Room with some effects from the DAW and also added an electric piano for some harmony!

Please excuse the poor video quality due to insufficient lighting in the room! Hope you enjoy! :)

Fooling around just for fun...
Me and my friend Carlos-he actually awesome piano and keyboard player if not mention that he plays drums percussion bass saxophone and anything and sings as well, yep we went to Cairo to see the pyramids and decided to play something next to the pyramids-after couple of beers we felt like this is the time :) tryed to sound little bit like something from those kind of contryes :) The funny thing is that close to the end of the video a mosque somewhere started praying-normaly its very loud in those countryes so you can hear it from far,so the guy was praying in the same key with us-what a chances :) Then police guys started wistling at us and we had to stop...Nice memoryes..

Kurt James: on the rocks!

Kurt got in touch to let me know his days are filled with petrol head thoughts!

kurt: I'm rebuilding a race car engine for my 65 mustang!.. oh yeah

Better still Kurt has a brand new band and it's called "On the Rocks"! Find out more about the band on Kurt's new fan page:

Kurt James - Guitar,
Apollo Jones - Vocals,
Davey Airaid - Drums and Explosives,
James Carter - Bass

No news as yet of the muted regrouping with Matthew T Mccourt and a possible Dr Mastermind tour of Europe... if I find out I'll let you know.

Kurt also made an appearance at NAMM, obviously it's a real struggle to be a guitar player at the show!

He was on the Gary Kramer stand... if anyone spots any video, just let me know... Kurt also did the gig with Uli Jon Roth

Amazing Bass Guitar Player!

Jean Baudin: NAMM WOW

I was at the NAMM show in Anaheim a few weeks ago and luckily I had my video camera handy to capture this amazing guitar player for a few minutes. He is playing what looks to be an 11 string custom guitar. He reminds me a little bit of Charlie Hunter. There were 50 people or so watching this guy in utter amazement. I hope you appreciate this as much as I do. as a guitar player myself, I couldn't beleive what this guy was doing. I don't know his name, but he was amazing. Enjoy!

Marco Sfogli: creations end.

Thanks to Rich Brymer for the info. Rich was lucky to be with Marco as he recorded in the studio.

Creation's End is the vision of New York City's Rudolph Albert (guitar - ex-Zandelle) and Dario Rodriguez (drums).

Rudy and Dario, who met in school, have been playing music together since 1999. As they grew tighter in their playing, they began to focus on writing original material. The nature of the material evolved from simple metal tunes in the early years, to more complex and mature compositions.

During the summers of 2003 through 2006, Dario and Rudy convened to write music. The focus of the sessions was simply to make great music that they both enjoyed, and each summer, Rudy and Dario wrote and recorded a new demo of original material.

Rudy soon took on keyboard duties in the band Until Destiny, where he met John Macaluso (drummer of James LaBrie Band, Fool's Game, ex-Ark, ex-TNT, ex-Yngwie Malsteen). After a short period of time, Rudy and Dario decided that the time was right to revisit their old material to record and release it the right way.

With a newly renovated studio and producer John Macaluso on board, Rudy and Dario set out to record 8 reworked versions of songs that appeared on their demos. They were joined by the lineup - Mike Dimeo, (ex-Masterplan, ex-Riot), Marco Sfogli (James LaBrie Band), and Joe Black (Chris Caffery, ex-Zandelle).

2010 will see the release of "A New Beginning" and marks the fruition of the album envisioned from the beginning - melodic, touches of prog, a strong sense of groove, and brutally heavy and dark. Backed by Intromental Management, the quintet is set to unleash their music on the world.
