Master the Dorian mode with these 20 fresh and inspiring new melodic ideas from Marcelo Donoso! The Dorian scale is one of the most widely used modes and plays an integral part in many styles from Fusion, Rock, Pop and Latin all the way to Jazz.
As we are dealing with a type of minor scale (due of the presence of the minor 3rd and flat 7th), Marcelo demonstrates perfectly how you can blend the trademark sounds and textures of the Dorian mode with other classic minor sounds such as the Minor Pentatonic and Blues scales.
Inside these licks you will find everything from economy and alternate picking, wide interval ideas, string skipping phrases, 3, 4 and 5 note patterns, creative slides, three note per string ideas, pentatonic substitutions and plenty of modern phrasing ideas. These licks are also a great way to break free of your standard box patterns and learn how to use the whole neck effectively.
So pick up this fantastic Dorian themed licks pack to help you really master the Dorian mode and exactly how to use it effectively, in context. At 9.99(GPB) you're all for learning 20 awesome new licks for a bargain of a price!
As ever, we have included everything you need to practise and perfect the material in this package. There are video and audio tracks for you to watch/listen and study (both in fast and slow formats), accurately transcribed TAB/notation for you to analyse and master as well as backing tracks at two speeds for you to practise every lick to, and jam out your own solos! We've even included some text notes to help you really get these parts down!
FewDaysAgo, I got a Mail from Mr. Steve Vai asking me If I Would be interested in Playing on one of his Track that he was working on from his Upcoming Project.
Day before yesterday I finished Recording on His Track and Mailed him back.He was in Love with things I did on his track and Gave me Really High Words of Apprieciation and Love:)
This is what Mr.Steve Replied to me-
"My goodness young lady,
I just listened to the track, both versions.
Where on Gods beautiful blue Earth did you come from. Wait, perhaps it's not Earth?
Wow. I am so impressed with what you did. You are truly gifted.
I guess it happens now and then where someone comes along and just raises the bar.
I'm really looking forward to see how you develop and where you take your Playing.
I don't hear anything that I would like to change or add but I will probably bounce around between the two takes and grab different things.
I hope we get to play together some day."
I also later sent him a track of mine from my Upcoming Album.
And His Reply on that Made my day:
"Hey, This track you sent me Is Gorgeous.Besides the fact that you're playing your butt off like nothing I have ever heard but always Hoped to hear.I like the melodic sections of the song too.You lock so deep with the Track"
What an honour to have recorded on his Song!
God is Great!
Let's hope Mr Vai remembers Esani Dey can play guitar too!
