Jared Meeker: Escalator - original composition playthrough



Jared Meeker performs his original composition Escalator at Alfred Publishing Studios in Burbank,CA on August 4th, 2012. He plays guitar live over pre-recorded backing tracks in which he produced. This track features the drums of Blake Colie on drums and all other instruments are played by Jared.

This course features strong workouts and pieces on alternate picking, cross-picking, sliding, hammer-ons, pull-offs, bending, vibrato, fingerpicking, and sweep picking. Learn how to improvise over the entire fretboard in a plethora of scales, modes, and arpeggio shapes. Students will have plenty of time to solo in class and bounce ideas off each other.

Background:
Jared Meeker is based in Los Angeles, he started his first band when he was 12. Since his ealry teens he dedicated himself to playing guitar, winning several competitions, featuring in guitar magazines teaching for the National Guitar Workshop (NGSW).

In 1994, he attended California Institute of the Arts where during his four years study he played jazz, carnatic, contemporary classical, chamber orchestra, traditional macedonian, folk, industrial and funk!
