Here I am playing over my composition "Open Fields" from my album "For a brother" by Nick Kellie Band. I am just testing this awesome guitar that PRS have loaned me. Its a gorgeous instrument and I have already used it on a few recording sessions. I am not an official PRS endorser but I always wanted to try one. I have not been paid to do this or even asked to make this video. I just thought it was a cool way to show you this cool guitar.

Nick Kellie: Kickstarter fundraiser for new album
My first album was picked up by Steve Vai, who released it digitally through his record label. Now, its time for a follow up album!
About 8 years ago, my first album was released in the UK and then later re-released on Steve Vai's digital nations distribution wing worldwide. Since then I have moved to New York city and worked with some of the finest and most prominent musicians in the world. With all this inspiration and opportunity, it is high time another album is made. With my connections, I have a pool of amazing musicians that are willing to be a part of the album (including Mike Pope who was in the Chick Corea Elektric band). The music is eclectic but predominantly in the Jazz/Rock idiom. I plan on having some amazing vocalists partake in the project so it will not be purely instrumental.
The funds we are planning to raise will go into three main areas:
1) recording (including mixing, mastering etc.)
2) paying the musicians (I plan on getting well known musicians onboard who will need to be paid)
3) Publicizing (hiring a publicist to get the product to the relevant media outlets so as to maximize exposure and sales)
4) distribution (digitally and physically)
5) Pressing of the album (the physical CD)
I truly hope that you will help us in making he project a truly special one.

Originally from Wigan in the North West of England, Nick currently resides in New York City, where he plays with many local musicians and also teaches guitar. Nick is currently the guitarist with The Three Degrees (#1 hit “When will I see you again”) and just toured the UK with them for 25 dates and played the world famous “Iridium Jazz Club” on Broadway in New York City. The Nick Kellie band is an exciting Jazz Fusion project featuring soaring electric guitar lead lines.
Most recently Nick was signed to Digital Nations www.digital-nations.com – part of Steve Vai’s record label and has recorded an album entitled “For A Brother” with his band “Nick Kellie Band”. Upon hearing the album, Steve contacted Nick with regard to a release on his own label. It has been released in the USA, Europe and Asia.
Nick was awarded the BBC Big Band Jazz awards “John Dankworth trophy for outstanding young soloist” and recorded a special show for BBC radio 2. He was invited to become a member of the Wigan Jazz Orchestra, and has played as part of the Wigan International Jazz Festival. He has played extensive gigs which include accompaniment, reading, soloing as well as styles ranging from Soul, R&B, Blues, Rock and Jazz in locations such as London, Norway, Germany and Greece.
When living in London, England, Nick was involved in many projects such as Fresh Claim, which features Nick on guitar, and Jon Plotel on Bass (Billy Ocean, The Real Thing) and Vanessa Haynes band featuring members of Jeff Beck group, Eric Clapton’s Band and Allan Holdsworth’s Band.
