George Lynch: cross the Rubicon... lynch mob to tour with dokken?!?!?!?!

When asked about a possible Lynch Mob tour in support of the band's comeback studio album, entitled "Smoke And Mirrors," Lynch said, "I'm talking a little preemptively here, but one of the things on the table is a potential Dokken-Lynch Mob tour — kind of like that WWF spectacle where you come out with all that history and get people talking, and that's always good. And we'll play some Dokken songs as well in our set. And they're welcome to play some Lynch Mob songs, but that's not gonna happen... I'm kidding."
Regarding whether he would make an appearance on stage with his former Dokken bandmates if Lynch Mob were to tour with Dokken, Lynch said, "Absolutely. That [would] be part of the deal. I'd come out at the end and we'd have a little reunion, and it'd be awesome. Me and Don [Dokken] could come out, make out for a while, and then we'd dive into a couple of old Dokken songs for old times' sake."
Audio samples of all 13 songs that appear on "Smoke And Mirrors" are available for download at HeavyHarmonies.com. The CD is scheduled for release in Europe on September 18th and October 13th in the U.S. from Frontiers Records.
Lynch Mob was formed by George Lynch after Dokken split up in 1989. The band's first album, "Wicked Sensation," went on to sell over 500,000 units in the U.S. and featured the talents of singer Oni Logan, Anthony Esposito on bass and another former Dokken member Mick Brown on drums. After a tour in support of Queensrÿche, Logan opted out, with Robert Mason taking his place on the follow-up self-titled release. However, Lynch and Brown eventually returned to Dokken, releasing two studio albums until he left again in late 1997 putting together a several new incarnations of Lynch Mob and exploring new sounds with different projects.

Travis Montgomery: threat signal interview

Jon Howard:
Threat Signal started as a very young band, some of us just fresh out of high school. Success came very quickly for us and we really didn’t know the lifestyle we were getting into. The former members chose to leave Threat Signal one by one as they realized this wasn’t the life for them. It was hard to see them go, and I was very upset at the time. But I’ve come to realize being in a band isn’t the life for everyone. Rich and George are now married with kids and are happy with that life. I’m still in contact with them.

Norm is from Hamilton and was actually the very first drummer I wanted for Threat Signal, but he was loyal to his band at the time. I got in touch with him when George left and he was available so it worked out great! Travis is from Texas and auditioned for the band through the internet. Adam was playing for us when Kyle was still in the band, he filled Marcos’ spot when he left. So basically the new lineup has been around for two and a half years. This is the longest and only time we’ve been a solid band. We are all on the same page and are ready to destroy the world for years and years to come!

ROLAND LIVE EXHIBIT UNVEILED AT THE GRAMMY MUSEUM
Interactive Music Instrument Showcase To Educate and Inspire Visitors

Los Angeles, CA, September 11, 2009 — Roland Corporation U.S. and The GRAMMY Museum are proud to announce the opening of a new permanent installation in The GRAMMY Museum, Roland Live.

The GRAMMY Museum is an exciting and interactive celebration of the power of music, occupying a vibrant new space in downtown Los Angeles. Four floors of cutting edge exhibits, interactive experiences and films provide a one-of-a-kind visitor experience — engaging, educational, celebratory and inspirational.

Debuting September 16th, the Museum’s new Roland Live exhibit gives visitors a chance to participate in the music-making process. By playing electronic musical instruments, guests will have the opportunity to explore and think critically about how today’s music is crafted.

Among a wide variety of Roland products, visitors will have the chance to interact with V-Drums®, BOSS pedals, HandSonic®, VIMA® keyboards, and the MV-8800 Production Studio.

“Working with Roland is a natural fit for The GRAMMY Museum,” says Robert Santelli, Executive Director of The GRAMMY Museum. “Roland Live will greatly add to the interactivity of our exhibits, allowing visitors to actually experience another step in the creative process — playing instruments.”

“The GRAMMY Museum is a destination for music education. They have so many amazing activities that make music come to life,” says Dennis Houlihan, President of Roland Corporation U.S. “We’re excited to bring the experience of performing on Roland instruments to a place that everyone can enjoy.”

The GRAMMY Museum’s Roland Live exhibition will open September 16th at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. For more information, visit http://www.grammymuseum.org.

We very much hope you will be able to attend on the new date - would you please confirm by email as soon as possible so that we know how many people are still booked/how many spaces are left?
