Guthrie Govan: Dizzee Rascal collaboration on Jools Holland.

I never liked Jools Holland since his work on Brecon Jazz for the BBC and the lack of Vital Information footage... even though they shot the whole show... strikes me as a very self obsessed person.

Shawn Lane: we remember!

I will keep posting this track forever. In my opinion one of the finest tracks Shawn Lane recorded. I know Shawn Lane loved the fact that people saw bootleg videos of him playing live and this just built on the mystique of the player. I so wish that he could have taken advantage of the YouTube era... but it was not to be. I will not stop letting people know about Shawn Lane's legacy...

Here Shawn Lane and the Powers of Ten Band play "Death Theme" (from "The Untouchables"), at Musicians Institute, Hollywood, CA, on the 5th Feb 93.

Marco Sfogli: looks for a singer with a great set of pipes...

Maroc Sfogli says:
We're looking for a singer! Yeah ladies and gentlemen, if you feel you might be right for the job send a demo at (mp3 will be fine). The project is intended to be very "modern", so we're looking for someone with a ballsy voice and modern attitude (think about Chad Kroeger or Chris Cornell to say the least) and most important, capable to write lyrics and melodies if necessary. Good luck

Nori Bucci: new cd confirmed

I caught up with Nori Bucci to find out about the new material that's been posted and see if there was some more information on a possible upcoming CD.

Nori Bucci says:
I am currently taking some time off from gigging, but not for too long. I'll post my dates at my website once I start playing out again... I am currently working on a new CD, but am not sure I can say exactly when it will be finished... most of the music is almost finished as we speak, I just have to do the mixing and mastering.

So if I hear more, I'll post it on the blog. In the mean time some more Nori Bucci in more gospel acoustic mood.

News: golden sleep

Apologies for the lack of posts last night.... I had one of those golden sleep moments... you know, that time when you can't stay awake and if you wanted to wake up you can't... a kind of Claus von Bulow moment... hopefully I'll catch up with posts today. Keep On Shredding!
