Adrian Vandenberg: in name only

"Some of you may remember that before joining my close friend David Coverdale in his band WHITESNAKE, I had my own band under my own name 'VANDENBERG', which I founded, wrote all the music and lyrics for, made the paintings for the albumcovers, designed the logo for etc. etc. and I eventually disbanded my own band in 1986 to join WHITESNAKE.

"Now sit down, fasten your seatbelts, here comes the surrealistic part: almost a year ago I got summoned by a lawyer representing the three guys who I invited to play in my band at the time in 1981, trying to claim my own name 'VANDENBERG' and actually trying to prohibit me from using my own name 'VANDENBERG' through a lawsuit .. now how bizarre is that?!?

David Paul Brown: DjentStep (Dubstep + Metal Genre Mash)

Hi! I’m Dave from and I have a feeling that in later life I’m going to regret making that my catchphrase.

This is totally what I look like in real life
I’m a 22 year old, living in Telford, England – a town famous for being both the highest concentration of roundabouts in the UK and having the highest teen pregnancy rate (my pride knows no bounds.)

I am an experienced music producer and I want to:

- Help other people to learn how to make their productions sound more professional…
- Expand their horizons about all the amazing music that’s out there, and…
- Build a community of people who also wish to learn and teach. - You can buy the T-Shirt there. - Tweet me what genres to mash next! - For mo' vids, tutorials, samples etc.
Download it here:
Djent Metal has always been a passion of mine, So I decided to mash up two of my favourite genres Djent Metal and Dubstep
Polyrhythic Beats and Piercing Basses, side by side.
Also, there was post-processing, hence why the guitar magically stutters etc. - For anyone wanting more Electronica/Metal crossover tunes, here's my band "You And What Army"'s free EP.

Zach Deputy: the ultimate one man band - amazing!

Zach Deputy
There is nothing out there like Zach Deputy. Truly a one-man band, he is a powerhouse of performance, technical chops, and one hell of a charismatic presence. Put simply, Zach Deputy does what is called live looping: layering sounds through the magic of technology to create a full band effect. He isn’t the only performer out there doing this, but he has taken the technique to the next level. First and foremost, however, Zach Deputy is a songwriter, a shredding guitarist and a soulful singer with a 4+ octave vocal range.

He can also drop freestyle rhymes with the best of them. The Zach Deputy sound is essentially roots rock, but in his case the roots are in soul, calypso and dancehall, underpinned by driving hip-hop, rock steady, Motown and Stax backbeats created with his layered vocal beatboxing. On top of the backbeat, Zach Deputy’s nylon strings pull multiple duties as bass, rhythm and lead guitar. Riding over that, a plethora of sounds– keyboard, steel drums and an entire horn section– come pumping and grinding out of the speakers when Zach takes the stage. He is a one man dance party, but he can also bring an audience to rapt attention with a heartfelt love ballad.

Jefri Irsyad: Fractal Reason

Edwin Mclean (Mr Guitar On Sky)
On of the very talented Indonesian metal guitar players, Jeje GuitarAddict, has released his 3rd album, "Fractal Reason". An awesome album! I write the review here on the blog. So get yourself in to check!

Jefri Irsyad: my name is Jefri Irsyad, but many people in my country called me "Jeje GuitarAddict". I started to play guitar late, when I was 17 years old. I focused on learning shredding guitar and metal bands like Alterbridge, learning the song "open your eyes". I have been recording my material and in 2009 I made my first demo album entitled "proof of my life". Improving my playing all the while I released my second solo album "Got the life" in 2011. I am just releasing my latest album "The fractal reason"

The meaning of the album is in the title, "the fractal reason" The term "fractal" refers to the mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot's concept in 1975. Mandelbrot based it on the Latin frāctus meaning "broken" or "fractured"".

In this album I use unusual time signatures and song structures, some people that don't know about progmetal describe it as "broken" or "irregular".

there are 11 tracks on this album :

1. Break The Rules
2. Beat From Hell
3. Too Much Pressure
4. Fearless
5. Mental Illness
6. Happy Alone
7. I Just Wanna Run
8. Interlude
9. Riot City (2008 Demo)
10. Midnight Rain (Piano)
11. Don't Leave Me (outro)

My gear :

Ibanez RG7321
M audio blackbox
Cubase 5 etc...
