Walter Donatiello: fluid blue jazz

Background:
Walter Donatiello was born in Italy. He invested a significant amount of time into his own studies into learning guitar. As he progressed he decided to move to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music where he studied with Mick Goodrick, Joe Diorio, Joe Pass and Pat Metheny.
His studies drew him towards Afro-American music and players like Ornette Coleman.

He then worked with Arlene Zallaman, university professor of counterpoint and composition near the New England Conservatory Wellesley.
