Simone Gianlorenzi : return of the seasons

Simone Gianlorenzi managed got to play with Ron Thal who is currently on tour in Europe. Unfortunately his camera didn't do too great a job...I know that feeling! Simone was really impressed with Ron's humility, humanity and gentility. He was also impressed by Rons ability to play the fretless guitar.

Background:
Simone Gianlorenzi started playing guitar and was immediately hooked. He began by taking classical lessons from Fernando Tavolaro.

He was originally inspired by rock players Brian May and The Edge. As his playing progressed he began to listen to Edward Van halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Frank Zappa. During his traning he attended live lessons from Steve Vai, Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, Brett Garsed, Dave Kilminster, Eric Roche and Scott Henderson.

Since leaving school he has taught in an umber of schools, like the "Lizard” school of guitar. He also teaches privately and writes for "Chitarre", writing book reviews articles, transcriptions and lessons.
