Background:
Daniele Mazzieri, known as Dan Matzy was born in Italy. He started playing guitar in 1991, having been inspired by classic heavy metal artists like Iron Maiden and Whitesnake.
Later he got into guitar players: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddy Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen. Currently he prefers to listen to players like: Greg Howe, Brett Garsed, TJ Helmerich, Frank Gambale and Scott Henderson.
He is also teaching guitar at the Lizard Academy in Italy. While not teaching he plays in a =couple of covers bands and a folk band.
