Another album off the production line... Akira Takasaki and Loudness release "Metal Mad", through Tokuma Communications label on February 20 in Japan. Release dates for other territories have not yet been announced.

Also Loudness will release a new DVD, titled "Loudness in America 06: Live Shocks World Circuit 2006 Chapter 1" on August 23. The disc will feature footage from the band's North American tour.

Background:
Akira Takasaki was born in 1961, Osaka, Japan and has been playing guitar since he was a teenager. He won a talent competition at the age of 16 playing a Deep Purple song. Akira wnet on to join the band Lazy, a japanese pop band, then, after being influenced by Van Halen set up a heavy rock band Loudness in 1981.
