Background:
Carlos Vamos was born 1970 in Spain. He had both Spanish and Dutch parents. His humble beginnings including listening to AC/DC at the age of 13. A few months, later got his first electric guitar for Christmas.
Carlos Vamos is smostly self taught, listening to records and watching other people play. His style is driven by instinct and not by theory and rules. His twon handed technique was inspired after seeing a Stanley Jordan concert in 1997. This exposed Carlos to a technique that makes it possible to play two completely independent lines at the same time on a guitar. Carlos took some private lessons from Stanley Jordan.
He has released seven solo guitar albums and one album with his trio. In addition, he has beena sideman and session musician on CD and in live concerts for artists including Herman Van Veen, Karin Hougaard and Richard Summerbell.
