News:
19-01-2008:
Fabrizio Chiruzzi has posted some long waited cybershred from the project Awakening online. You can listen to six samples of the upcoming official release AWAKENING. The demos are really great and feature a mix of keytar and guitar... well worth checking out.

Fabrizio Chiruzzi descibes the music as
"Combining the fury of shred and smooth melody with an hi energy industrial sound here comes the future of guitar shred music. I personally invite you to spend few minutes to hear it and write me what you think. Comments are welcome!"

The MySpace web site: http://www.myspace.com/fabriziochiruzzi
Full list of video of Fabrizio Chiruzzi playing the ztar plus the 22 minute version which is well worth a listen. Fabrizio he says ""At this moment, i'm trying to finish my second CD, I have the last song to record, just the lead parts...but i have no inspiration now ehehe!!"

He indicates he's still got a few months worth of work mixing. In the meantime he continues to record stuff for his web site and do a lot of work with players...which always adds a delay. I, for one, wish him well his CD.

Background:
Fabrizio is and Italian guitar player and composer who was born the march 23th, 1977 at Chieri (TO) and he moved to Menfi ( AG ) in the south of Italy.

He started guitar playing quite late but continued to improve because of his passion for heavy metal guitar music. His first guitar was a cheap red guitar with rosewood neck, 22 vintage frets and a Floyd Rose bridge, two single coils and an humbucker, which was really noisy.

He is self-taught and become a proficient player and has worked as a clinician for Yamaha Musica Italia. He is also a regular columnist for the Italian music magazine Basimedia and for several guitar based web sites.

He has subsequently won the International guitar competition promoted by HARD! magazine and came second in "Rockaos Festival". He was also lucky enough to play with Steve Vai on the March 2000 Ultra zone Tour Experience after winning the Hard! competition. see the photos.

His playing style reflects his influences and these include: Michael Angelo, Michael Romeo, George Bellas, Joe Stump, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Brett Garsed and Greg Howe .

Check out his web site for a discography, mp3 and video's or buy his "Gates of Doom" CD from guitar9.
