Art of Tremolo
Ioannis Anastassakis (The Art of Rasguedo) eliminates the guesswork on how to practice and perform the tremolo technique. The book addresses over 70 different approaches and methods to practice the tremolo with unprecedented advice from some of the greatest classical and flamenco guitarists including: Andrés Segovia, John Williams, Sharon Isbin, Christopher Parkening, Pepe Romero, Scott Tennant, David Russell, Narciso Yepes, Stanley Yates, Stepan Rak, Juan Serrano, Manolo Sanlucar, Manolo Franco, José Antonio Rodriguez, Paco Serrano, and many more.
Characteristically, Anastassakis presents an exhaustive analysis of the different tremolo patterns: 4-note, 5-note, 5-note extended melody tremolo, 6-note tremolo, 8-note tremolo, and continuous extended tremolo. A comprehensive bibliography of classical and flamenco guitar pieces that utilize traditional and/or extended tremolo techniques is also included. Written in standard notation and tablature.

Ioannis Anastassakis, Bob Katsionis and Wild Rose Angel Productions have started organizing a Greek Guitar Power CD compilation project! This will be a great way for young Greek guitarists to gain exposure by having their music introduced to what we hope will be thousands of people! All you need to do is submit your own original music, no covers! The style of the music will be "Instrumental Rock guitar Oriented" – meaning everything ranging from Electric Blues to Progressive Doom and beyond!!
However, please do notT submit Vocal tracks! This will be a purely Instrumental Compilation! (sounds right up my street...)
The best way to submit your original music for consideration would be the Internet - put everything together in a Zip file online and send an email with the download link! to Bob or Ioannis. Alternatively, they can provide a mailing address where you can send your promo pack. Make sure you include good quality MP3s of your songs apart from regular audio files! If you have a professional videoclip for your song this would be considered a plus! The deadline is late August 2007. Here's the Myspace for Greek Guitar Power: http://www.myspace.com/greekguitarpower
