Background:
Alex Raz has been playing the guitar since he was 4 years old. Alex’s father, Steve Raz, has been a professional guitarist/teacher for over 20 years in the Cleveland Music Scene. Alex picked up the guitar and from the first day and picked it up straight away. Steve says "his form is absolutely perfect, his picking hand is incredible."

In April, 2005 an event took place that really inspired Alex. His Dad sent a demo of "The Star Spangled Banner" to the Cleveland Cavaliers and was invited to play on a nationally televised game.

Alex can play songs such as Van Halen’s “Eruption”, one of the greatest guitar solo’s on record, also Alex loves Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Brian Setzer, and Slash. Alex can just be shown the parts, he picks them right up and remembers them, without a pen and music paper. He is learning Bach’s “Bouree” and in the process of Jazz instruction as well.

In February 2007, Alex started recording tracks for his first CD, to be released in May-June 07. Ralphe Armstrong, legendary bassist in Aretha Franklin’s band, and former member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa, and countless others, agreed to play on Alex’s release. Alex main guitar is a vintage 1986 Jackson Soloist.
