Mark Tremonti notes that the New Album titled "blackbird" will be in stores october 9th 2007. Also Alter Bridge's first single off the new album is called Rise Today, and is already starting to get airplay on rock stations around the US.

Background:
Mark Thomas Tremonti was born April 18, 1974 in Detriot, Michigan. Influenced by his bothers he got into listenig to bands like KISS and Metalica.He got his first guitar at the age of eleven. Mark began to teach himself, buying a few tab books and trying to learn his favourite songs, practicing them until he got them right.
Mark mother was diognosed with Lupus his mother's illness affected Mark greatly. To get away from the problems he got into bands like Megadeath. After High School Mark attended Clemson University. His friendship with Scott Stapp renewed and after a while formed the mega succesful Creed. Creed have had 8 Number 1 singles, 3 Multi Platinum albums.
