Background:
Towards the end of 2004 S. Gazquez gets together with friends to play live music from Dr.Fausto. On the 18th of December they gon on stage for the very first time in La Plata, with a suprisingly great reaction from the crowd

Silvio Gazquez was born in Argentina. He started playing gutiar in 1993. He was initially influenced by The Guns N´ Roses. In 1994 he got hold of his first electric guitar, a Yamaha Stratocaster, with which he begun to experiment playing solos and guitar techniques from Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore and the other Shrapnel players.

Influences include: Vinnie Moore, Brett Garsed, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, Eric Johnson, Steve Lukather, John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, Paul Gilbert, Joey Tafolla, Richie Sambora, Dan Huff, Mike Landau, Kiko Loureiro, George Bellas, Joe Satriani.

He started musical studies at the Centre for young musicians in Lincoln, where he was born. He attended there until 1997. In 1998 Silvio decides to study Classical Guitar at the University of La Plata, which 3 years later he gives up in order to concentrate on the electric guitar.

He became part of a band called ´Rampante´, which never got to play live, having already been in a blues band called ´Blues Way´. It wasn’t until the millennium that Silvio got together with an artist that was starting a band which would later be known as "Rachel", together they produced classical and symphonic heavy metal. They recorded two independent productions and played live in La Plata.

Silvio also worked on his solo music un the name Dr Fauto. this lead to the new band, Theatrics. The group combined instrumental Progressive Rock sounds with Heavy tunes and Cinema music. Well worth checking out their latest tracks.
