Just surfing around the net when I came across this article on the modernguitars websitge entitled: A Psychedelic Hello

I the article Pamelina describe the process of designing and configuring the guitars. Pamelina H says:

I receive the guitars as separate bodies and necks which have been painted, cleared and color sanded. All my work is done using water-based paints. I use both Auto Air enamels and Liquitex acrylics. I also use a combination of air brush and paintbrush. Most of the Psychedelics are painted solely with paintbrushes. I temporarily join the necks to the bodies for a smooth flow of the artwork. After my work is done, I return the bodies and necks to the Fender Custom Shop for the final clearcoat and assembly.
