Background:
Kenny Serane was born in Montpellier (France) in 1981. He started guitar at the age of 14. Early on he taught himself, covering Metallica's riffs and Slash's solos. This inspired him to continue music professionally, taking lessons in a music school.
He attend Game Over, a musical school in Montpellier, with teachers Thierry Pontet and Alain Cahuzac. The school covered technical skils, harmony and improvisation based on American working methods from G.I.T. or Berklee.

During this time he discovered musicians like Greg Howe, John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen and Scott Henderson, learning harmony and arrangement methods, mixing both melody and technique as a result.

He left music school became a professional musician, joining an orchestra for a three month tour. From that he's been drawn to the band, ensemble approach.

In 2003, he met Stephane Boutinaud, an innovative and technical drummer and
Workshop was born, influenced by Metal, Jazz and Electronic music.
