César Luís: Movimento Perpétuo... variax abilities amply demonstrated

César Luís:
This is probably the more difficult song I've ever tried to play. It is originally played by Carlos Paredes on a (12 string) Portuguese Guitar, which has a completly different tuning from an ordinary guitar. So when transposed, this is a true nightmare to play. I also recorded all the rythm.

As you can see (no pickups! :D) I'm playing a Variax. In case you're not familiar with this guitar, it emulates the sound of other guitars, a few of them are acoustic. I didn't use any effects in the guitar besides a slight reverb.

Note that I wanted to play the original version of this song and not the one on electrical guitar performed by Gonçalo Pereira. Although his tab was usefull for me, I didn't play the same way, because he plays some parts slightly different from the original.

I'll probably record this song with a nice distortion in the future :P

Note: watch in the best quality avaiable please, otherwise youtube will mess the sound.

I'm playing a variax in that video. Besides emulating electric guitars this guitar also emulates some acoustic ones and even a banjo and a sitar! :D
I love my guitar ^^

After recording I just added a slight delay.
