My goal at Village Guitar Studio is to provide quality guitar instruction in Chicago to students of all levels. As a guitar teacher, I can help you move beyond your current playing level – or to begin playing – with effective methods I’ve developed through years of experience teaching guitar lessons and working with many students.
Because learning music is most successful and fun when a student is pursuing a goal that they find interesting, I’m happy to work with you to design a custom plan for your guitar lessons that will help you to achieve your goals. No matter what the topic, my teaching emphasizes the skills and knowledge that will give you a thorough understanding of the guitar and allow you to use what you learn in your guitar lessons to actually play music.

Biography
Roger Panella has over 6 years of experience as a professional guitar instructor, teaching at both community music schools and lesson studios. In addition to operating Village Guitar Studio, he is also a guitar teacher at the Cappelli Institute of Music in Oak Park, IL.
Roger has performed professionally for over 15 years. He currently leads his own trio and freelances in the Chicago area. Though a jazz guitarist primarily, he has experience performing many styles of music. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance.
