News: Birmingham Guitar show today and tomorrow!

The world’s greatest guitar brands are to descend on Birmingham’s New Bingley Hall between 26-27 February 2011 at the inaugural Birmingham Guitar Show. A celebration of all things six-string, from electric and acoustic models to amplification and recording technology, the BGS is designed to give visitors – whether serious players or beginners – the chance to get their hands on the latest instruments from across the globe.
Brands already confirmed for the show include Gibson, Marshall, Peavey, Orange, Paul Reed Smith, BC Rich, Ibanez, Laney, Patrick Eggle and JJ Guitars, with retailers Professional Music Technology, Fairdeal Music and Guitars4You also on hand to offer some special show deals.
With more exhibitors to be confirmed, manager Jason Hunt says of the event, “The Midlands has always proved a great location for rock’n’roll shows and we’re very excited to be bringing the guitar show to Birmingham. It’s the perfect chance for those who have always wanted to play to come and try and for experienced players to see the industry’s newest innovations. Tickets for the Birmingham Guitar Show are priced at £8.50 in advance (£10 on the door), with no advance booking fee and free parking at New Bingley Hall.
