News: Exclusive Laurence Cottle masterclass at the Institute

Globally renowned bassist Laurence Cottle will be returning to the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, in Kilburn, for an exclusive bass masterclass on Thursday 15th April.
Known as “one of the UK’s most outstanding performers and writers” (Jazz UK), Laurence has performed with some of the world’s greatest artists including Sting, Seal, Cher, Brian Eno, Eric Clapton, Black Sabbath and The James Taylor Quartet. He is also renowned for composing music for television shows, including Matlock, the Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America, and has recorded music for films such as Lethal Weapon and Mr. Holland’s Opus.
Laurence will spend the day teaching on the Institute’s BMus Degree course and provide private lessons for students. During the evening masterclass, he will demonstrate his stunning technique and share his knowledge and experience from working in the music industry as a session player, band member and artist in his own right.
