Lee wrathe: Music Theory for guitar players series

Music Theory for Guitar players part 1 -The Chromatic Scale
Part 1 of a series of videos that represent the fundamentals of Western Harmony and how that applies to the guitar.
Condensing Music Theory into 3-4 key concepts that will help you work out your favourite songs and write your own music.

The series covers
• The Chromatic scale (and equal temperament)
• The major scale ...what it is, how it's made, how to play it and how chords are built from it (Harmonisation) and chord progressions.
• Extending the basic chords to 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th and altered.
• And finally a clear explanation of the Modes of the Major scale and how and why they work.
I can usually teach these fundamentals in an hours lesson (face to face, at a clinic or via Skype).
But I think this base level of harmonic understanding should be free for everyone who is interested in learning but doesn't know where to start in the face of so much info on the net!
Once the series is complete I will begin the process of the next tier of guitar based theory tuition videos that will cover Harmonic and Melodic minor, chord substitution (and a lot of other Jazz and Classical related harmony) for the guitarist.

I hope they are of use to you and if you need a written version you can request a free copy of my tuition book "Ninja Guitar" part 1 by hitting me up with a subscription here and mailing me a request.
Best wishes
Lee
