Nicholas Llerandi: wins #MayonesDuncan competition

Nicholas Llerandi Like a boss!

The votes from the artist jury have just arrived and we would like to congratulate Nicholas Llerandi on winning a Regius 7 Custom from Mayones Guitars Basses and all the finalists who have won a set of pickups. Most of all, we want to thank all of you who uploaded videos - there were so many great videos and talent that it makes it nearly impossible to choose any amount of winners. Here is the entry Nicholas posted: http://bit.ly/VClmAV

What kind of giveaway or competition would you most like to see next?

Thanks for watching :) and thank you Keith Merrow, Mayones Guitars, and Seymour Duncan Pickups for your support. *TABS / NOTATION* - http://everforthright.com/solo.php

-In this particular solo I am not utilizing many different modes, nor is there any diminished scale or whole tone. All of the lines come from a hard-bop/ bebop approach of implying changes that are not being played by the rhythm section (except for the Lord Xenu... scale). This is especially fun to take advantage of when the harmony is very straight forward (Impressions, So What?, Little Sunflower, etc.), but is certainly not limited to simpler tunes. Some of my favorite guitarists that use this technique include:
Ben Monder
David Fiuczynski
Liberty Ellman
Marc Ducret
Wayne Krantz
Nir Felder
Adam Rogers

Hope that helps! :D
