Glenn Hughes,Andrew Watt: California Breed new video and planning a UK and European tour in September
California Breed release video for "Midnight Oil"
The celebrated hard rock power trio, California Breed, which consists of Glenn Hughes (vocals, bass), Jason Bonham (drums) and Andrew Watt (guitar), today release the official lyric video for their current single Midnight Oil.
The song will also be available as an instant grat track by pre-ordering the album exclusively from iTunes worldwide via this link: http://smarturl.it/CaliforniaBreed.
The animated lyric video was created by Nev Todoroic who spearheads the interactive media production company The Young Astronauts.
Says California Breed’s guitarist, Andrew Watt - "We wanted a lyric video that would make people want to watch this song in addition to just listen to it, one that would highlight the bombastic grooves of the track and convey the rhythm of the message. I turned to my friends, the Young Astronauts, whose previous videos have hundreds of millions of views, but they don’t work with a lot of rock bands and I thought THAT’S the magic, right there."
“It’s a refreshing animated video that really captures the lyrical concert and message of the Midnight Oil single,” says California Breed’s vocalist and bassist, Glenn Hughes. “We didn’t want to make a run-of-the-mill lyric video. The animation perfectly captures the raw energy, lyrical content and the message of what Midnight Oil is really all about... rock n roll!!”
Midnight Oil is UK’s first single taken from California Breed’s self-titled debut album released by Frontiers Records in Europe on May 16th, and in the UK and US on May 19th. Produced in Nashville, Tennessee by Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings) the album features 23-year-old guitarist Andrew Watt, who was originally introduced to Glenn Hughes by Julian Lennon at a party in LA in 2013.
California Breed are planning a UK and European tour in September. Tour dates will be announced shortly. Visit the official California Breed UK press page HERE.
