Alas; the time has finally come for us in Polyphia to drop our first full-length album - but this time - we're stepping out from the comfort of our cozy bedroom studios, to give to you our latest and greatest in a top-notch package that only comes from the finest of recording facilities.
..With your help, of course.
If there's anything we've learned so far in our brief history as a band, it's that if you want something done right, you should just do it yourself. Up to this point, we've done all that is Polyphia between the four of us; that means everything from our own video and audio production, to even our marketing research and merchandising. This mentality has roped us endorsement deals with some of our favorite companies, a slew of popular festival appearances, and a self-released EP that established for us a steady amount of recognition in the music community - all without leaving our front door. For this new record, we plan on taking things to a level we never have before in our production value to give you guys the best album we possibly can. But things like this sure don't come cheap, and we would hate to have to sign our lives away to a record label just to make it happen.
We decided that for raising the necessary funds for this endeavor, the best method would be to keep to our DIY tradition; not only will this give us complete creative control on this project in its entirety, but we won't have to go into debt just for our hard work to see the light of day, as most other bands hopping on the crowd-funding train have realized with funding albums via label support.
