Ronnie Björnström: Working On Abhorrent Decimation Debut

Aeon Guitarist Ronnie Björnström Working On Debut Abhorrent Decimation Album
Today, London based death metal newcomers Abhorrent Decimation announce they are working with Ronnie Björnström of Enhanced Audio Productions (Garageland Studios, Sweden) on the bands highly anticipated debut album.

Following the success of the bands debut EP 'Infected Celestial Utopia' via Cold Birth Records, numerous shows across the UK including a tour with Hour of Penance and a crushing performance at this years Bloodstock Open Air Festival the band are delighted to share this news.

Vocalist Ashley Scott had this to say on the appointment of Ronnie, “Ronnie is responsible for one my favourite sounding records of all time! The first time I heard Aeon 'Aeons Black', I knew we had to get in touch with Ronnie about the album. I would not settle for anything less. We spent a little time talking about the goal and what we wanted to achieve with this record and it was clear to me that Ronnie was able to give us exactly what we wanted. Our EP was a great start but now is the time to step everything up, material, production, direction – this album has to put our name on the map and we are positive Ronnie is the man for job.”

Ronnie shared these words on the upcoming task ahead of him, “Abhorrent Decimation is a great band. It will be a fun project to work on for sure! We have had close contact to figure what direction we should aim for… It will be a killer album when it’s done. Ashley sent me the demo's, the material was like I expected. Aggressive, punchy and overkill! I had to take a couple of beers after listening to it due to all the brutality in the tracks!”.

Ronnie has created incredible sounding records for the likes of Aeon, Zonaria, Gnawer, Bodyfarm and Persuader to name a few.

The band has attracted the support from many of the big names in the UK press and overseas with support coming in from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, The Guardian, Team Rock, Total Rock, MetalMouth, PlanetMosh to name a few, the album is set to be a well received Death Metal offering.

"...This band have all the brutality and technical prowess required to make music this extreme detonate with maximum impact, but what they have that many of their peers don't is memorable songs underpinned by huge grooves and an infectious sense of momentum. New song Echoes Of The Vortex suggests that the Londoners' full-length debut will be one of 2015's must-have death metal records... Fucking brilliant, basically..." (Dom Lawson – Metal Hammer)
