PRS Guitars Announces 30th Anniversary Concert & Celebration

(STEVENSVILLE, MD) April 15, 2015 - Honored to celebrate their 30th anniversary and pursuit of excellence, PRS Guitars is hosting a free two-day event this June featuring a star-studded free concert at Rams Head Live in Baltimore and an open house at PRS Guitars’ manufacturing facility in Stevensville, MD.

PRS Guitars’ approach to manufacturing, guided by founder Paul Reed Smith, has maintained a consistent focus: design and create the best instruments possible using the finest materials available including beautifully figured tone woods, proprietary electronics, and patented processes. These instruments, considered collector’s items, stage necessities and amateur guitarists’ go-to instruments are sold in more than eighty countries worldwide through authorized dealers and distributors.

To celebrate a landmark three decades of achievement, PRS is hosting a free concert on Friday, June 5th at the Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD. Attendees to this all-ages concert will be treated to performances by COL. BRUCE HAMPTON & THE AQUARIUM RESCUE UNIT featuring JIMMY HERRING and the PAUL REED SMITH BAND with DENNIS CHAMBERS on drums and RHONDA SMITH on bass. A third act will be announced closer to the date.

The following day, Saturday, June 6th, PRS will open up the doors of the PRS Guitars manufacturing facility in Stevensville, MD for a day full of exciting and interactive fun including guided and self-guided factory tours, the opportunity to see and play all of the 30th Anniversary models including Core, S2 and SE, a display of the company’s archives in the new West Street East store on the premises, plus educational clinics where attendees can learn about the extensive PRS line of electric guitars, acoustic guitars and amplifiers.

"Since day one it has been our goal to craft the finest guitars and amplifiers possible and I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved over the last 30 years," stated Paul Reed Smith. “The 30th Anniversary Concert and Celebration is designed to share what we’ve done and say thank you to our supporters.”

The 30th Anniversary Concert and Celebration is free to the public with advance registration.
