Gord Olson: Seymour Duncan Dirty Deed

So normally, I'm all about the metal, but this Dirty Deed distortion pedal has actually lured me into the rock pool for just a little while. Very cool pedal though. It really sounds and feels like an amp with the power section being heavily pushed. You can really hear and feel a distinct "sag" in the tone. I haven't encountered that in a pedal before. Great for all kinds of rock tones, but could also be used very nicely for stoner/doom metal as well. The guitar is a Schecter KM-6, with Duncan Black Winter pickups. Awesome guitar! The amp I'm using is a Peavey 6505 on the Green channel, into the "Normal Gain" input, so it's a fairly clean signal, as you can hear. The cabinet is a Marshall 1960 4x12, loaded with Eminence CV-75 speakers. Those are my favorite speakers without a doubt. They are similar to V30's, but much better all around, IMHO.
