A Lydian scale works over all chords. The Lydian mode is the fourth mode of the major scale, so if you count down four notes from A, (A-G-F-E) you get the E major scale, so if you play the E major scale over this backing track you will have the Lydian mode.
C sharp minor pentatonic is also contained in the A Lydian modeso this will work too.
