Tymon Kruidenier, Michel Nienhuis: Our Oceans announces news on new album and band status

Dear friends,

Our Oceans was originally a side project with Exivious being my full time band. We've already announced the news through our Exivious channels, but not through the Our Oceans channels so here goes...

We recently decided to call it quits with Exivious and turn Our Oceans into our main band. As I stated before, taking on the vocal duties in Our Oceans changed everything for me; the way I see myself and what I aspire to become as a musician has completely shifted. Fortunately, my band mates are all with me in this decision and as such, Our Oceans is now a real band.

At the moment, we're in the middle of writing and recording a new album. And I have to say that I haven't been this excited about making music in a long, long time! I feel like I finally arrived at a point in my life where I've found a style of music that I can completely identify with. It will be a while to complete these songs and get them released, but if you like what we did with the Our Oceans debut and our 2 Exivious albums, I promise it will be worth the wait.

Thank you for your patience and your support!

Tymon

Graceful vocal melodies intertwined with dreamy guitar tones. Lyrical fretless bass lines dancing amongst washes of cymbals and clouds of percussion. Our Oceans laces classic singer/songwriter influences with modern, progressive elements. Weaving mindful musicianship and introspective lyrics into an otherworldly and deeply melancholic musical universe.

Our Oceans is a new band from The Netherlands, formed by singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier (ex-Cynic, Exivious). Joining him on guitars and bass are his fellow Exivious colleagues, Michel Nienhuis (Dodecahedron) and Robin Zielhorst (ex-Cynic, Mourn). Completing the band is drummer Jasper Barendregt (Dodecahedron, Ulsect).

Our Oceans’ self-titled debut album, realized through a successful crowd-funding campaign, was released worldwide November 15th, 2015.

Tymon Kruidenier vocals & guitars
