Andy Wood: The Woodshed ep4. Sound like Derek Trucks and Duane Allman without a slide!!

Hello music lovers!!! Welcome back to the woodshed. This week i got to head up to madison square gardens in NY to catch the 50th anniversary Allman Brothers tribute show "The Brothers" and it was GLORIOUS!!! So i wanted to dive into their inspiration, all of that lovely soulful slide tone, but without the slide. I'm not a fabulous slideplayer, guys like Joey Landreth, Ian Thornley, Derek Trucks, Duane Allman, Sonny Landreth are all huge slide inspirations. So i have tried to study, and come up with a way to sound like a slide player without the slide. A few of you have requested this as you have heard it in my playing, and since the timing was right with this weeks concert I figured we could jump in. This is a technique that is in constant evolution, so take that with a grain of salt. I'm no master of the sound, but this is a jumping off point for you guys. Visit Andywoodmusic.com for more content. And as always, like, subscribe and let me know what you'd like to see in future episodes. Thanks for the love, Cheers all!
