JIA is an American Progressive Metal trio consisting of Jacob Umansky (bass), Ivan Chopik (guitars), and Alan Hankers (keyboards).

Amass was the first track that we wrote as JIA. When we started writing, JIA did not exist. By the time the song was finished, we knew exactly who we were and what we wanted to do. So in this sense, Amass is inadvertently auto-biographical, and reflects the formation of the band.
