Gretchen Menn: Harp harmonic prelude and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling"

Taking the new @Ernie Ball Music Man Cutlass for a test drive! I've often said it, but I've never met a Music Man I didn't love. This one is based on the original 1970s EBMM designs, and, typical of Music Man, the feel and sound are beautiful.

On choice of material... When getting acquainted with an instrument, I like to hear how it sounds with cleaner tones and spacious lines. If it doesn't sound awesome, I don't care how shred-friendly it is. And being able to get consistent, clearly ringing harmonics is essential for me.

Fun fact: I did this arrangement of "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" a couple years ago as a thank you to the Ball family and company, as they have been so good to me. The song was written by Ernie Ball's grandfather, Ernest R. Ball.
