Bill Hall: Paul Gilbert Racer X String Skipping

Shred Guitar In The 80s! In this episode I take a look at Paul Gilbert and Bruce Bouillet and their string skipping arpeggios during the Racer X years on albums like Second Heat and Live Extreme Volume. I also take a look at David T Chastain and the new Divebomb reissues of the classic CJSS albums World Gone Mad and Praise The Loud. I also demo the new Positive Grid 40watt Spark amp. The emergence of Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads and Yngwie Malmsteen in the 1980s ushered in a movement of amazing technical hard rock guitarists like Paul Gilbert, Vinnie Moore, Tony Macalpine, Greg Howe, Akira Takasaki George Lynch and Warren DeMartini.
