The song is mostly based in A Dorian. The chords I'm playing are Am9 and D7. In the second half of the song, I change the progression slightly, playing chords loosely based on Am9 and F#min7. When it modulates to B minor, my solo is based in B Aeolian/B Harmonic Minor.
I wrote this while experimenting with tones on my 1990 Les Paul Custom, which I had just acquired a few weeks before. All guitars were tracked with it.
