Sorry, but I didn't get any photos of Kei Akagi or Steve Topping. I was at the end of the roll and had forgotten to take another roll with me. How times have changed. Thanks to Murray for the original recording. I transferred this from the tape he sent me, all those years ago. This was the first time I saw Allan. Great memories. To all the people I was there with, Dai Cable, London based guitarist Mo Nazam and Murray (who recorded it) I hope you are all well.
Memories of the gig - apart from the shear impact of the experience of finally seeing him and the rest of the band, the atmosphere was fantastic. I also met Allan after the gig (final photo). He was his usual humble self. Such a nice guy. I do remember that someone brought a copy of Velvet Darkness to get signed and he wouldn’t sign it. He said I’ll sign anything else but I am not signing that bootleg.
One thing I have noticed, listening back to this gig, Holdsworth did not play the head to Non Brewed Condiment. Please comment if you were at this gig. It would be great to get your memories in the comments.
