Mateus Asato: Good memories, Sydney. If I am where I am today, I owe a lot to you and the Double Vision Contest. The "little comma" that supported this entire paragraph of my musical career until then; the green light I needed to receive. Thank you for not only coming up with the contest with Alex, but also being the one to tell me about the Musicians Institute. I was 16 years old, in the 2nd year of high school, more able to choose Medicine than Music, when Double Vision came along. And exactly as you mentioned, at 45 of the 2nd, I sent my video. Unpretentious, hopeless, I found my name in the 8 finalists, which was such a surprise. A month later, I received the most unlikely of them all: having my name mentioned unanimously among all the judges, making me the "winner" of this competition. The rest is history.
