Stéphan Forté: Spiritual Bliss

Here's a full performance of my song "Spiritual Bliss" during a masterclass I was giving at the MAI School in Nancy/France a couple years ago. Fun fact: I was a student in that school before it was named MAI; it was called CMCN at that time. When I was a student there, my whole session was composed of around sixty guitarists, with 45 of us apprentice shredders! We were spending days studying and nights practicing technique. There was a very positive competition between all of us, and it clearly pushed us above our limits. I remember meeting the god Shawn Lane there, and even lending him my Ibanez RBM that day as he didn't bring any guitar for his masterclass. After the show, he signed it on the back ofthe neck, and today, the neck is in my office, right next to me, reminding me to practice and work hard everyday.
