Julian Lage, the genius known as "the pinnacle of modern jazz guitar," will be coming to Japan with his trio, featuring Jorge Roeder (bass) and Dave King (drums), core members of his new album, "Speak to Me." He started playing guitar at the age of five, performed at the Grammy Awards at age 12, and attracted attention as a child guitar prodigy. At age 15, he was selected to join Gary Burton's band. For "Speak to Me," he welcomed singer-songwriter Joe Henry as producer, and refined his unique sound that also reflected elements of folk, gospel, and other roots music. Julian was praised by the legendary Herbie Hancock as "a musician who plays with heart, will, and soul." This one-night-only premium stage will be held in the intimate space of a club.
