As a devoted fan of Fredrik Thordendal and Meshuggah, I’ve undertaken this personal project to remaster their albums, restore some rare gems, and unveil everything related to their revolutionary sound while preserving their incredible legacy.
The video was upscaled from the original 640x480 source to 2560x1920 without any AI upscaling. Minor tweaks were made to color tint/white balance, exposure, highlights, plus light de-noising and sharpening. Audio and video are now properly synchronized!
The audio was sourced from the 40th anniversary box set release by Mats/Morgan. I compared the original video audio, the original CD release, and the new box set master. The box set release was the clear winner (although I'm not the biggest fan of the added reverb). I also flipped the stereo image, since I like mixes from the drummer's perspective.
All rights to the original music and footage remain fully with Fredrik Thordendal, Morgan Ågren, Mats/Morgan Band, and their respective teams/labels. This is a fan-driven, non-commercial project shared solely for the enjoyment of the Fredrik Thordendal/Meshuggah fan community.
