Biography
Born in 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia, Igor Paspalj is a world-renowned virtuoso guitarist, composer, and music educator. After completing his Master's Degree in Music Theory and Harmony at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka with highest honors, he built an extensive career as a solo artist, session musician, and university professor. His exceptional technical prowess, highly technical speed picking, and fluid legato playing earned him the prestigious title of "Electric Guitarist of the Year 2020" by Guitar World and Guitar Player magazines.
Paspalj is an official artist and instructor for the prestigious JTC Guitar company, where he releases highly acclaimed masterclasses. After years as a solo and session player (and formerly the lead guitarist for the progressive metal band Heaven Rain), he recently joined the massively popular Croatian folk-punk/rock band Brkovi, touring extensively across Europe.
