About Scott Henderson
Scott Henderson (born August 26, 1954) is a celebrated American jazz fusion and blues guitarist and composer. Raised in South Florida, Henderson began his career as a blues-rock player before developing the unique, soulful fusion style for which he is now world-renowned. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend jazz, rock, funk, and blues, he has become a leading voice in contemporary guitar, earning multiple "Best Jazz Guitarist" honors from major publications like Guitar Player and Guitar World.
Throughout his career, Henderson has collaborated with legendary figures, including Chick Corea (Elektric Band), Jean-Luc Ponty, and Joe Zawinul (Weather Report). He is also a dedicated educator, having served on the faculty of the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, since 1984.
