Biography

Ben Eunson (born 1989 in Melbourne, Australia) is an internationally acclaimed contemporary guitarist and composer praised by Guitar Player magazine as "innovative" with a voice redefining modern guitar. Beginning guitar at age 10 and working professionally by age 15 in Melbourne's local clubs, Eunson later relocated to the United States in his early twenties, quickly embedding himself into New York City's vibrant West Village jazz scene. Renowned for an intense, obsessive work ethic—famously practicing eight hours a day for six straight years—Eunson has developed a distinct style characterized by angular yet deeply melodic phrasing, rich chord voicings, and genre-blending versatility. He has performed at legendary venues and festivals such as the Hollywood Bowl, Monterey Jazz Festival, and Detroit International Jazz Festival, alongside major television appearances like NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center and FX's Pose. As a premier sideman and session player, Eunson has recorded and performed with a massive roster of iconic artists spanning jazz, pop, and R&B, including John Legend, Queen Latifah, Questlove, Terri Lyne Carrington, Lalah Hathaway, Dave Chappelle, Dave Liebman, Theo Croker, and Chad Lefkowitz-Brown.
