Benjamín "Ben" Lechuga is a Chilean-born composer, producer, and virtuoso guitarist based in Los Angeles, California. Rising to prominence as a founding member and lead guitarist of the acclaimed Chilean progressive metal band Delta, Lechuga gained international recognition when he was selected by Steve Vai as the worldwide winner of the Steve Vai Scholarship in 2011 to study at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London. Known for pushing the boundaries of modern instrumental metal, his style seamlessly weaves complex rhythms, advanced jazz-fusion harmonies, flamenco flourishes, and orchestral arrangements. In recent years, Lechuga has garnered widespread acclaim for pioneering a radical shift into custom fretless electric guitars, collaborating with artists like David Maxim Micic, and composing for major media networks.
