Biography
Born in Israel and based in New York City, Oz Noy is an internationally acclaimed guitar virtuoso, composer, and bandleader celebrated for his highly distinctive, genre-defying approach to instrumental music. Blending elements of jazz, funk, rock, blues, and R&B, Noy is known for his sophisticated harmonic vocabulary, infectious rhythmic grooves, and mastery of improvisation.
After establishing himself as a top-tier session and studio musician in Israel, Noy relocated to New York in 1996, quickly becoming a fixture of the city's vibrant underground jazz and fusion scene. He has released a celebrated series of critically acclaimed solo albums featuring elite rhythm sections, and has performed or recorded with legendary artists such as Keith Carlock, Will Lee, Dave Weckl, and Chris Potter.
