Samy Elbanna
Frontman, Lead Guitarist & Songwriter for Lost Society
Biography
Born in August 1995 in Jyväskylä, Finland, to a Finnish mother and an Egyptian father, Samy Elbanna is best known as the high-octane frontman, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter for the modern metal outfit Lost Society. Inspired heavily by classic thrash giants, 1980s shred guitarists, and Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom, Elbanna founded Lost Society in early 2010 when he was just a teenager.
Known for his explosive stage presence, aggressive vocal delivery, and blistering technical lead playing, Elbanna quickly steered the band into international visibility. Lost Society caught the attention of Nuclear Blast Records after competing in the Global Battle of the Bands, releasing their debut in 2013. Over the course of subsequent records, Elbanna pushed the group beyond their initial crossover-thrash foundations into a darker, groove-heavy, and arena-ready modern alternative metal sound, establishing himself as one of Finland's premier contemporary metal guitarists.
