Zilqy
All-Female Post-Melodic Nu-Metal & Modern Heavy Rock from Japan
Biography & Band History
Formed in 2025, Zilqy (pronounced Zil-kee) is an all-female Japanese modern metal supergroup created by prominent figures in Japan’s heavy music landscape. The band’s moniker is a portmanteau blending "zilch" (zero) and "queen," symbolizing rising from nothing to claim their crown.
The quartet was brought together around a shared vision of bridging international contemporary heavy music—drawing deep influence from modern metalcore, post-melodic nu-metal, down-tuned grooves, and electronic elements—with soaring Japanese melodic sensibility. Fronted by bilingual vocalist Anna alongside celebrated veterans Toki (ex-Aldious) and Miho (ex-Lovebites), Zilqy debuted with hard-hitting singles like "Carry On" and quickly captured global attention across the international rock and metal communities.
